KNOCK FREE CHURCH
Connecting and Serving our Communities through the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Emmaus Nurture consists of a course of 15 sessions on various topics related to the Christian Faith. These sessions are designed to give those who attend a meaningful and lasting introduction to the Christian Faith and the life of the Church. This is an ideal way for people to begin to get some experience both of the Church and of the basic teaching of the gospel, although it is also suited to those who have been part of the church for some time but are now interested in developing further in Christian knowledge and commitment.

The course is divided into three sections:

  1. What Christians Believe (6 sessions)
  2. How Christians Grow (4 sessions)
  3. Living the Christian Life (5 sessions)

Each session includes handouts, group activities, discussion and if we have time a cup of tea or coffee! There is no "hard sell" or pressure put on any of the participants other than what the teaching of the gospel itself imposes. The sessions are carried out in an environment of friendliness, courtesy and companionship.

We run the sessions fortnightly immediately after the Sunday evening service.

"I found that being with the group of twelve Emmaus participants in such a relaxed atmosphere gave me an invaluable experience of their opinions, questions and aspirations and this itself helped greatly towards my regular preaching of the gospel every Lord's day. It was a very encouraging experience all the way through the course." (Rev J. Maciver, the minister).
