Personal testimony is one of the most effective demonstrations of the truth of the Bible's teaching. In particular, personal testimony is living proof of what the Bible says about conversion or being born again. God by his active grace changes lives, takes people from the darkness of sin into his marvellous light and gives them thereby to testify that whereas they were once blind now they see.
On this page we bring you various testimonies from those who have had personal experience of the transforming grace of God.

Question Meeting - November 2nd, 2007
The "Question Meeting" is a service at which men from various areas are called upon to speak to a verse of Scripture as it relates to their own experience. Traditionally the Friday morning communion preparatory service has taken the form of a Question Meeting for many generations. Originally in Gaelic the service now usually includes English speakers as well. The text is given out by a male member of the congregation who requests that those who will speak include a number of points, which he specifies, relating to the text. The text is the "opened" by the minister presiding over the service, setting the verse or verses in context and generally giving a brief exposition as to the meaning and setting out ways in which those who will speak could develop the theme in relation to personal experience. After a number of men have spoken (usually 6-8) the minister of the congregation, or another visiting minister if present, will "close" the Question by giving a summary of what has been said.
Please note that this recording varies in quality, especially in volume, as some of the men who spoke were some distance from the microphone. We hope this does not spoil your enjoyment of this item. Two of the speakers and the closing of the Question are in English.
